Dr. Samir Balaney, DDS

I’m originally from the Chicagoland area, grew up in the western suburbs and continued on to the University of Illinois at Chicago. I was one of a small group to participate in a 3-year accelerated honors program, and upon graduating, continued to dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.

After graduating from dental school, I worked in a variety of settings across the city and suburbs of Chicago. Perhaps one of my most rewarding and fulfilling experiences was a medical and dental mission trip made to Haiti in the Spring of 2014, providing the dental care within a larger context of internal medicine and orthopedic care. I have also spent time providing critically needed care to nursing home residents in the Chicago area as well as the Chicago Public Schools children.

To help fulfill a passion of mine as a mentor and educator, I worked for several years as an adjunct clinical faculty and course instructor at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, IL. Throughout all this time however, my primary focus was in private practice providing a variety of dental services that I’m passionate about – from performing surgeries to placing dental implants.

I am a member of the American Dental Association, The Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. I’m also Invisalign® certified and have completed course education with Spear Study Clubs, and the Implant Seminars Implant Continuum.

My wife and I are the proud parents to three young children and we are both local to the area. We love taking part in local festivals, trying up and coming restaurants, and rooting for the hometown sports teams!
